I will always love you – level 3

Whitney Houston was born on 9 August 1963 in the USA. As it is usual for many Americans her family comes from more than one place. She is African American but also American Indian and Dutch (people from Holland). She has a fantastic voice and she has won a lot of Grammy Awards. Whitney started to sing at the age of 9. She started to sing at church. Then she sang in nightclubs for some time with her mother. She was very good and was offered to get a music contract. But her mother wanted her to finish her school first.

Since 1985 she released a lot of successful albums but her best time came with her first film role in the film The Bodyguard with Kevin Costner in 1992. The soundtrack for this film won a lot of awards and is the best-selling female album of all times. This is the best song from the soundtrack:

If I should stay
I would only be in your way
So I'll go but I know
I'll think of you every step of the way

And I will always love you, will always love you
My darling you

Bittersweet memories
That is all I'm taking with me
So good-bye, please don't cry
We both know I'm not what you, you need

And I will always love you
I will always love you

I hope life treats you kind
And I hope you have all you've dreamed of
And I wish you joy and happiness

But above all this I wish you love
