21/06/2011 15:08

A story of Lidice is a story about ordinary people and their lives. These people accidentally made a part of history. The author of this story is Zdenek Mahler, who wrote it in 2007. But it had not been until 2011 before the film was made. In the film we can see the story of Lidice through relationships between different people. At the beginning of the story is love. This film is full of emotions and shows how little things can lead to tragedy.

Lidice was a small peaceful village in the Czech Republic where people lived their ordinary lives. But in 1942 German soldiers came to the village to take a revenge for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. They took the children from their parents and the men from their families. They sent some of the children to Germany and some of them were killed in concentration camps. All the men were shot. Only one man survived. This man was in prison for a murder because he killed his own son. This man is the main character of this ambitious drama.

This is a trailer with English subtitles.
