Skoda makes money
The Czech Republic’s biggest car maker Skoda Auto has informed that the profit is three times higher than in 2010 compared with 2009. Profits were at 349 million euros against the 110 million euros a year earlier. The car maker’s production increased about 25% with sales of cars going up 11.5% to reach a record 763,000 cars. Around half of the profits will go to parent company, Volkswagen. Skoda Auto says it will introduce a new city car model this year and a new car next year which will be bigger than Fabia but smaller than Octavia.
