17/07/2011 19:04

The Beatles are a symbol of Britain. They were very popular and everybody knew them. They played together for 10 years (1960-1970). Everybody loved their style and clothes. They were different at that time. They visited many countries like the Soviet Union and the USA. They stopped in 1970 but all four musicians had their solo careers. Now, two of them are dead. John Lennon was killed in December, 1980. George Harrison was very ill and died in November, 2001.

The Beatles are the best band in the history of popular music.

John Lennon was the band leader. He played the guitar. He was also a singer and author of their songs. But he was a rebel. The band often had problems.

Paul McCartney played the bass guitar. He is the best musician in the history of popular music. He also helps people in the world. He can write classical music, make films, and paint pictures.

George Harrison was the youngest Beatle. He played the guitar. He also wrote some of the songs. George liked to help people.

Ringo Starr was the oldest Beatle. Ringo didn’t sing much but he was very good in the films A Hard Day’s Night, Help! and Yellow Submarine.
