Timbuktu – level 2

26/06/2011 13:56

A priest and a rock singer wanted to write the best poem with the word "Timbuktu" (a city in Africa). They had one minute for it. People then had to say who wrote the better poem.

After a minute the priest read his words first:

I was a father all my life

I had no children, had no wife

I read the bible through and through

On my way to Timbuktu

The people were very happy and thought that the priest is the winner. But the singer jumped up and said his poem:

When Tim and I to Brisbane went

We met three ladies cheap to rent

They were three and we were two

So I booked (rented) one and Tim booked two
