100 years old marathon runner - level 3
A 100-year-old British man has become the world's oldest marathon runner after completing a race in Canada. Fauja Singh finished the Toronto Marathon in Canada in eight hours, 25 minutes and 16 seconds.
It looked like he would not make it when he was at the 35th kilometre. But he didn’t give up for two more hours and reached the finishing line in 3,850th place. He was faster than 5 other runners.
Fauja Singh, who only started running 11 years ago after the deaths of his wife and son, trains every day. He runs 10 miles every day.
He believes he is successful because he eats curry, drinks tea and is happy.
