1001 people in dominoes - level 2, A12

18-07-2012 18:00

You can’t usually take 1001 mattresses from a shop. But this is exactly what people in a shopping centre in Shanghai did. 1001 people met there to break the world record with human mattress dominoes which was set at 850 by a group of Americans in February.

You can’t just build the mattresses up and knock them down. You have to plan everything very carefully.

It was a big challenge to arrange over a thousand mattresses, so that they all fall down at the right time.

The event was successful and it lasted almost 10 minutes.

Words from a higher level: set (put), knock down (hit somebody so that they fall), event (show for a lot of people), last (take time).
