A 49 year-old woman died after a part of a building collapsed on her car in central London. It happened on Friday during a stormy night of strong winds.

Police cordoned off the scene. Large pieces of masonry and pounds of rubble surrounding the silver car could be seen. The woman had two passengers. A 25 year-old man and a 24 year-old woman were taken to hospital. Their injuries were not serious. A fourth person who was passing by when the accident happened was also taken to hospital.

Friday’s weather was the last in a series of violent storms.
