Big fire in Colorado - level 2, A12
Over two weeks and 100 square kilometres, Colorado’s High Park wildfire shows no signs of slowing down.
Thousands of homes have been evacuated and close on 200 hundred destroyed near Fort Collins. The fire killed a 62-year-old woman.
Firefighters thought they had controlled the worst of the fire because low temperatures and light winds helped them close 60 percent of its size.
However, sudden increase in wind and heat over the weekend made the fire bigger again. It can grow even more.
Interesting words: sudden, heat.
