Big meeting in North Korea - level 2
North Korea is celebrating its 63rd anniversary of the Korean War with a rally.
The Korean War started in 1950 when North Korea attacked South Korea without any warning. Three million people died and five million people had to leave. North Korea was supported by China and the Soviet Union, South Korea by the United Nations, especially the USA.
Hundreds of people came to this rally, including many politicians and state officials. Anti-US banners were shown.
Interesting words: anniversary (day when we think about important things from the past), rally (big meeting of people).
You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
