Big storm in Sydney - level 1

Big storm in Sydney - level 1

12-03-2014 15:00

Here is some news from Sydney. One morning it is very sunny there. It is warm, too. But the weather gets worse in the afternoon.

A storm breaks. It is not sunny anymore. The sky is dark and it rains. Some people don’t want to get wet. They use umbrellas. Other people are OK with the rain.

Traffic is slow. Buses are late. Planes cannot fly to Sydney’s airport. They must fly to different cities.

Difficult words: sunny (clear sky and sun), break (start), wet (covered in water), traffic (cars and buses in on the roads).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.

What was the worst storm in your life?
