Boy is saved in England - level 2

04-08-2014 15:00

A boy was drowning in a sea in England. He screamed for help. Luckily, a lifeguard heard the boy and helped him. The lifeguard had a camera which filmed the whole incident.

The boy was terrified and exhausted, but he managed to climb onto the rescue board. The man then took the young boy to the beach where his parents waited for him.

RNLI released new numbers. One hundred and sixty-seven people died in water-related accidents last year in Britain. Lifeguard crews rescued a further 368 people.

Difficult words: exhausted (very tired), RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution – an organisation which helps people who are in danger in the sea), further (in addition).
