Car in a house - level 2

Car in a house - level 2

27-02-2014 15:00

A truck crashed into an apartment in Arizona at around 2:30 in the morning. The truck was travelling at 40 miles per hour (64 kilometres per hour).

The vehicle almost ran into a couple, who were asleep inside. Luckily, they were only covered in debris.

The driver was injured a little so he was taken to hospital. He was later arrested because he had been driving under the influence.

Difficult words: run into (hit), debris (pieces of something that has been destroyed), under the influence (under the influence of alcohol or drugs).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
