Costa Concordia after six months - level 2, A12

16-07-2012 12:00

The Costa Concordia hit the ground 6 months ago. 32 people died. The ship is still lying on its side near the Italian coast. People, who are on holiday in Italy, visit this place often.

People try to remove a 140-ton rock from the ship. They want to move the ship away.

The rock will remain on the island as a memorial to what took place there.

On Friday, islanders will mark six months since the accident with a concert for people who died there.

Words from a higher level: remain (stay in one place), memorial (a stone for people who died), islanders (people who live on an island).
