Elephant family - level 2

Elephant family - level 2

02-09-2015 15:00

The family of Asian elephants at Chester zoo spans four generations. People call the latest addition to the family Nandita and she was born on the 20th of August to mum Thi.

The little one spent around half an hour playing in mud with her family. At the end, her mum wiped her eyes and ears with her trunk.

Difficult words: span (to include), addition (a thing which is added – new), trunk (an elephant’s long “nose”).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
