Fastest bicycle - level 2

Fastest bicycle - level 2

25-09-2013 14:00

A young Dutch cyclist has broken the record in the World Human Powered Speed Challenge.

He traveled across a road in the Nevada Desert at an amazing speed of 133.78 kilometres per hour (83 miles per hour). He had a special recumbent bike so he needed little help before he started to move.

The high-tech bike was designed by students from two Dutch universities.

Difficult words: recumbent bike (type of bicycle where you lie on your back), high-tech (using the newest technology).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
