Fisherman in water with sharks - level 2, A12

13-08-2012 18:00

A fisherman was in a horrible situation off the coast of Western Australia. The man was in water full of sharks.

The 49-year-old man was seen by people in a helicopter. He was circled by sharks, at least one of which was a hammerhead.

The man was in water for 20 hours after his boat sank. He was eventually pulled to safety and flown to hospital in Perth.

He was on a trip with two other men. One of the men was later found but he did not survive. The third man is still missing.

Interesting words: circle (move around something), hammerhead (type of shark with a head like a hammer), sank (went under water), eventually (after a long time).
