Gorillas are apes. Apes are similar to monkeys but they don’t have tails or their tails are very short.

Gorillas are the biggest apes. They are very heavy. They can have 225 kilograms. They are completely vegetarians. They live in family groups and they are quiet animals.

Gorillas live in the rainforests in central Africa. They usually live on the ground, but they can also live in trees. Every day they travel through the forest and look for food.

Gorillas sleep in beds which they build on the ground. At the end of each day, each gorilla prepares its bed which is soft and comfortable. The young gorillas sleep with their mothers.

Gorillas are very clever animals. They use about 25 different sounds for communication. They can also use simple things if it is necessary.

Gorillas like to play very much. When they live in the zoo, very often they have nothing to do and they start to play with people. You can see one gorilla which wants to play in the video.
