Highest mountain in the world - level 3

Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world. It is 8848 metres high. A lot of people tried to climb this mountain. The first ones who might have done it were George Mallory and Andrew Irvine. In 1924, they were 8572 metres high and they were going up. Unfortunately, it was the last time people saw them. Nobody knows if they were on the top or not. Mallory’s body was found in 1999 and people didn’t find any proof that he was on the top.
On 29th May 1953, Edmund Hillary from New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay from Nepal reached the top of the mountain. They were the first people in history who reached the top and also came back alive.
Every year about 400 people get to the top of Mount Everest. Not everybody makes it back home though. On average, 5 people die on the mountain every year.
The video is from a successful trip to the top.

Interesting words: proof, though, on average.
