Ice hockey is a sport. It is a sport for two teams. People play ice hockey on ice. Six players are on every side, but one team has 20 players. Ice hockey is a very fast game. It is the fastest team game on the planet.

Ice hockey is only popular in some countries. These countries have long winters and strong ice on lakes. In history, people played ice hockey on these lakes in winter. It was a winter sport. The best seven countries in the world are Canada, the US, Russia, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Finland and Slovakia.

Ice hockey started in Canada in 1875. The best league in the world is the NHL. The NHL is in Canada and the US. At the end of every hockey year, usually in April, teams play in the playoffs. This is the most important part of the year. Teams play hard, players concentrate more and sometimes players do special things. Players film special videos.

One team from Slovakia prepared this special video before the playoffs. They tried to do haka. It is a dance from New Zealand. Rugby teams from New Zealand dance haka before the match.
