Landslide destroys homes – level 1

Landslide destroys homes – level 1

02-04-2013 06:00

A big piece of land went down in Washington State. People heard a big boom. It was at 4:15 am. It destroyed one house. It was on a Wednesday. The road to twelve houses was destroyed too. People with help couldn’t go to these houses.

People were lucky because nobody died. But people couldn’t use water and electricity. The place is dangerous now. More land can go down in that area. People have to leave their houses.

Interesting words: boom (deep loud sound), destroyed (broke), leave (go out of).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
