Man under snow - level 3, A12

A Swedish man has survived 2 months after being trapped under snow in his car. The car was found on Friday at the end of a forest road more than 1 km from a main road in northern Sweden.

The 45-year-old man said he had been there since 19th December. He survived by drinking melted snow.

When he was found, he was very weak and he was lying in the back seat in a sleeping bag.

He was discovered by people on snow scooters. Some people don’t believe him because a human being can usually survive 4 weeks without food at the maximum. However, according to the police, there weren’t any footprints around his car, so the whole story is probably true. The police say they have no reason to doubt his story.
