Museum was on fire in London – level 3

29-03-2013 06:00

More than a hundred firefighters battled to save artefacts in a museum in south east London after a fire broke out at a neighbouring library.

People were evacuated as flames engulfed the roof of Newington Library and threatened the collection at Cuming Museum. No one was injured in the fire.

Interesting words: artefacts (things such as tools that are historically important), break out (start happening suddenly), engulf (surround).
