Nevada is a state in the USA. It started to be part of the USA on October 31, 1864. Nevada is the seventh biggest US state. But only has two million people. It is in the southwest of the US. It is only desert. The US Army tests new systems there. The US Army did nuclear tests there in 1950. There are not many towns in Nevada. Some towns are towns with no people. People lived in them in 1850 when they looked for gold.

Nevada is full of tourists. About 20 million tourists visit Nevada every year. They don’t go there for holiday. They go there for gambling. Everybody knows Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is not a very old city. It did not exist in 1900. Now one million people live there. In 2000 it had 14 of the biggest hotels in the world. It has a lot of casinos. Everybody tries to win there. All the casinos are in one street. You can visit many attractions too, for example the attraction in the second part of the video. It is very good.

Many people have their wedding in Las Vegas too. There are 100 000 weddings in Las Vegas every year.
