Paris in China - level 3
It looks like the Eiffel Tower. And that looks like Paris. But it's actually China and this is the second largest replica of the Eiffel Tower in the world.
In fact, this whole development has been created in a Parisian style which includes housing, a commercial area complete with sculptures, fountains and an Arc de Triomphe--an interpretation of it anyhow.
Originally built in 2001, in recent years, many of the commercial spaces have been left empty. Developers decline to say how many empty spaces they have, but they are confident that the Chinese’s love affair with all things European will see China's Little Paris filled again.
Difficult words: replica (model), interpretation (the way in which something is shown), anyhow (anyway), decline (refuse), confident (sure).
