Parliament in Taiwan - level 2

Parliament in Taiwan - level 2

15-08-2013 14:00

Politicians have strong opinions and they often disagree with each other. That is normal but the situation in Taiwan got too bad.

Two political parties there have different opinions about a power plant. One wants to build it and the other one does not. They started a fight in the parliament all because of this. They even threw water bottles. One man had a helmet on to protect himself.

The people of Taiwan demonstrated outside the parliament building. They have opinions about the power plant, too. They demonstrated and said what they wanted but they didn't fight.

Difficult words: opinion (thing you think), disagree (when you have a different opinion than other person), political party (group of people who have the same opinion), power plant (building that makes electricity).
