03-06-2013 06:00

A shocking sight. A small plane has slammed into an apartment building in Virginia. All three people on board survived and are currently being treated for injuries.

David Ventura owns the property and was asleep when the crash happened.

"Big smoke, you know, like huge smoke things, like someone has burnt something up but it was just like the dust of the drywall and everything."

"Did you know it was a plane?"

"I did not. I hoped to ask to the guy that was coming out of the aircraft…"

"So there's a guy coming out of the airplane in your living room."

"Yeah, yeah, you know... 'What are you doing here?' He said, 'We’ve just had an accident.' I said, Everybody okay here?' He said, 'Yes.'"

The plane which was heading for an airport in Philadelphia is thought to have had electrical problems before it crashed.

Interesting words: slam (hit with force) head for (go to).
