Planes in strong wind - level 1, A12
Planes had problems with strong wind in Spain. Some planes could stop at the airport, but some planes couldn’t stop at the airport.
When you watch the video, you can see that the wind was very strong. Some big planes had big problems. The situation was bad for the pilots and for passengers too. The pilots tried to control the planes, but it wasn’t always easy.
The speed of the wind was 65 kilometres per hour at the airport in Bilbao. The airport wasn’t closed and all planes could try to stop there. Many pilots stopped there, but four planes couldn’t do it and they went to another airport.
