Pope and a boy - level 2

Pope and a boy - level 2

06-11-2013 14:00

Pope Francis visited an Italian island. When he was listening to locals on stage, a boy came to him.

The boy didn’t just stay on stage. He refused to leave when the security told him to. The Pope didn’t seem to mind the boy and the media loved it. At one point, the child even wrapped his arms around the Pope’s legs.

Pope Francis often stops to greet people, kiss babies and help the sick so he probably didn’t mind the boy at all.

Difficult words:

stage (area on which speakers stand)

wrap (put)

greet (say hello).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
