Protests in London - level 2

Protests in London - level 2

18-06-2013 14:00

The G8 summit, which is the meeting of the richest countries in the world, will be held in Northern Ireland soon. Some people were not very happy about it and they organized a carnival against capitalism.

Many people wore masks and carried banners. They went through the busy London centre.

Not everything went well and the protesters ended up fighting with the police. Some people were even arrested. Some protesters used water pistols for the children to fight the police.

The police expect that the protests will continue.

Interesting words: summit (meeting), banner (big board with text used during protests).
