Pumpkins in water - level 3
Last weekend, people in Nova Scotia in Canada took their huge pumpkins from their fields and put them into the water. They cut out the inside of the pumpkins and changed them into boats for the annual Pumpkin Regatta Competition.
People from the town of Windsor say that their town is the World Pumpkin Capital. Each year 50 to 60 boats made by the contestants themselves race across the 500-metre lake.
There are always a lot of visitors who enjoy the race. It is always fun to see someone swimming in clothes this time of the year. It happens quite often because not every boat is made to complete the race.
