Refugees Leave Calais

Refugees Leave Calais

28-10-2016 07:00

There is a refugee camp in Calais. Calais is in France. There are 7,000 refugees in the camp. They are leaving the camp.

Around 1,500 people are already gone. They are going to different parts of France. The French give each refugee a map.

France wants to demolish the camp. However, it must wait for 5,500 refugees to leave.

Difficult words: refugee (a person who is not in his or her country because the country is not a safe place to live), gone (away, in a different place), demolish (destroy, break completely).
