Seven lost killer whales - level 2
A group of seven killer whales got stuck on a sandy beach in Australia on Tuesday.
Thanks to a rescue operation the whales were hydrated and helped back to the water. Five of the whales managed to swim free at the high tide. But two of them, a mother and her baby, died.
Maybe the whales got stuck because they were ill and they didn't know the way. A veterinarian will take blood of the two dead whales and see if they were or were not ill.
Interesting words: hydrate (put water on something), high tide (when the water goes up), veterinarian (doctor for animals).
You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
