Sign language interpreter - level 1

Sign language interpreter - level 1

20-12-2013 06:00

Nelson Mandela’s memorial is in South Africa. A man is there. He is a sign language interpreter.

The man does signs for sign language. These signs are not real. This is not sign language. He only moves his hands. It looks stupid.

Deaf people see this. They are shocked. Other interpreters don’t know the man. He is not an interpreter. It is bad to do this.

Difficult words: memorial (when you think and talk about somebody important who died), sign language (language for deaf people), interpreter (person who translates from one language to another), deaf (a person who cannot hear).
