This news is from Santiago de Chile. Twenty cars meet there. They are in front of the presidential palace. They are special. They are solar-powered.

Some of the cars are hybrids. Some you can ride like a bicycle. The cars prepare for a race. The race goes through the Atacama Desert. The race takes five days. It is 870 miles long (1,400 km).

Difficult words: solar-powered (they get the energy from the sun), hybrid (two different types of energy move a hybrid car), race (a situation when cars go fast and each car wants to win).
