Special helicopter went into water - level 2

Special helicopter went into water - level 2

14-05-2013 14:00

The first carbon fibre helicopter crashed into the water at Auckland Harbour on its first flight. The moment of the crash was recorded on camera because the whole flight was filmed for a video about this helicopter.

Both the pilot and his passenger were not injured. They were surprisingly calm after the accident too. They said that they managed the emergency landing well so it was very smooth.

The helicopter had been flying well until the accident but they were still testing it. That's why they were flying over water. New Zealand experts are investigating the cause of this crash.

Interesting words: carbon fibre (light and strong material), smooth (without problems), investigate (try to find out the truth).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
