Surfers in Germany - level 2

Surfers in Germany - level 2

22-08-2013 06:00

Munich hosted a surfing competition. Does it sound strange? Well, the surfers rode on the world's largest artificial wave.

The championship in Munich is a highlight for all European surfers. The wave is ten meters wide and 1.5 metres high. The surfers performed all kinds of special rides and tricks.

The competition had four categories. There were the Men Open, the Women Open, the Masters Open and also Grommets, for those under 16. The top prize was 10,000 euros.

Difficult words: artificial (not natural), highlight (most interesting part).
