Sydney is Australia’s oldest and largest city. It was started on 26th January 1788 as a business centre by the British. There were only about 8000 people who lived in this area before the British came. Now over four million people live here. The city is a financial centre and has three universities. It’s a well-known dynamic and cosmopolitan city, famous for its Opera House which was built between 1959 and 1973. The city has sunny, nice weather which is good for relaxed lifestyle and outdoor activities. Around Sydney there are five big national parks. People say that Sydney is the 7th best city in the world for life.
