Train accident in Spain - level 2

Train accident in Spain - level 2

29-07-2013 14:00

The moment of a terrible train accident, which happened in Spain, was filmed and posted online.

It shows the train, which went too fast, and then it derailed. It is quite an unpleasant look. The carriages are destroyed as if they are made of paper.

The aftermath was described by many as a scene from hell. 78 people died and 131 people were injured. Three days of national mourning were declared. An investigation is now being carried out.

Difficult words: derail (get out of tracks), aftermath (situation after an accident), carry out (do something).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
