Underwater Scorpion – level 1

10-08-2022 15:00

People find one hundred and fifty pieces of fossils. They find them under a river. The river is in Iowa, USA. The fossils belong to an animal.

This animal lived 0.5 billion years ago. It was a predator – an underwater scorpion. It was 170 centimetres long. However, 50% of its body was the tail. The animal had 12 arms at the front.

Difficult words: fossil (when an animal dies a long time ago and turns into a rock), was (past of “is”), predator (an animal which catches and eats other animals).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What do you think about this animal?
