Fans go wild as Usain Bolt retains his Olympic gold medal in the men’s 100 metre final.

The Jamaican set an Olympic record of 9.63 seconds, the second fastest time in history behind his own world record of 9.58 seconds leaving compatriot and reigning world champion Yohan Blake with the silver.

The event, one of the most eagerly anticipated of the games, was not without drama however. After a man was arrested for throwing a bottle at Bolt as he stood on the start line.

Thankfully, however, Bolt said he’d been unaware of the incident, leaving him free to run into the history books, to the delight of athletic fans all over the world.

Interesting words: go wild (become crazy), retains (keeps), compatriot (somebody from the same country), reigning champion (latest champion), eagerly (excitingly), delight (happiness).
