Whale in Australia – level 2

Whale in Australia – level 2

27-09-2016 07:00

A 12-metre whale got caught in a fishing net off Queensland, Australia. It was also stranded in shallow water.

Rescue workers cut the net, and the whale was able to swim free with the help of a rising tide. It was not injured.

Difficult words: stranded (beached, without enough water around), shallow (not deep), rising (going up), tide (the rising and falling of the sea because of the moon and sun).
