Arkestra shows are dangerous for women – level 2

Arkestra dance shows happen in rural India and bring many men to night shows. Young women dance on stage for hours and try to please the crowd. The shows give fun to the audience, but they bring danger to the dancers.
Many women choose this work because they need money and can find no other job. Middlemen bring them to the shows, and some girls start when they are very young. Men shout, touch, or act in rude ways, and women feel fear and stress.
Police say illegal groups sometimes bring women to this work. Officers stop some shows and help young girls leave, but many later return. Their families need money, and many people find the shows okay.
