Good news – level 1

18-04-2025 15:00

Most news is sad, but many good things are happening, too. Good news can make you feel better. Here are a few examples.

An elephant gets a new shot to stop a bad sickness. Narwhals, a type of whale, are safe again. Birds are learning how to fly long trips. Small planes help them. A man in China saves many sad people. They want to jump off a bridge. A man with cancer runs races and gets money to help others. A woman gives her kidney to a man who she meets on a walk. Indonesia gives free lunch to many kids. India helps old people with health care. In the US, four schools get money to help students.

These stories show that the world has good people and happy news.

Difficult words: example (a thing which we say to help explain something), cancer (a very serious sickness), health care (doctors and hospitals).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

How did an elephant getting a new shot, a man in China helping people avoid jumping off a bridge, and a woman donating her kidney illustrate ways that individuals and groups bring about positive changes?
