The US government works with technology companies which make AI. One company, Anthropic, has a problem with the military. The company does not want the military to use its AI without rules. So the government stops working with it.
Another company, OpenAI, makes a deal with the Pentagon. But many people say that the company makes the deal too quickly. The leader of OpenAI says that the company will change the deal. It will have more safety rules.
Many companies now want to work with the military on AI technology. Some people think that AI will be important in new wars. Many people worry about new risks.
Difficult words: government (the group of people who run and manage a country), military (the people, ships, and planes which keep a country safe), safety rules (what you must and must not do to keep things or people safe).
