Fake AI ads – level 2
15-07-2026 07:00
Scammers are now using AI to make very realistic fake ads on social media. They show beautiful pictures of things like coffee mugs or toys, but these products are not real.
When people click the links to buy them, they can end up on dangerous websites. These websites can secretly steal private credit card information or install bad programs on computers. Scammers make money quickly and then disappear. These fake ads are even on big websites like Amazon because computers cannot catch them all.
To protect yourself, you should never trust prices that are too low. You can check the pictures on the internet first, look at the website address carefully, and read the comments to see if they look real.
Difficult words: realistic (when something looks real and natural), ad (a short video, picture, or text to show a product and make people want to buy it), disappear (to suddenly go away).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What can happen when people click links in fake ads, and what three precautions does the text recommend to protect yourself?
