The second World Humanoid Games started in Beijing, China. For five days, many robots are competing in sports like boxing, high jump, table tennis, and sprinting.

One fast robot even ran 100 meters faster than Usain Bolt. Robots are also practicing household chores, like moving items and folding clothes.

Almost all the competing teams come from Chinese companies. China wants to show its high-tech power to the world and compete with the United States. But experts explain that the main goal for these companies is to get money from investors.

While these machines can dance and run fast, they are still very expensive and cannot do real housework yet. Chinese companies must now find ways to make useful robots that ordinary people want to buy for their homes.

Difficult words: household chore (routine job or task that needs to be done around the house), high-tech (using the most advanced and modern electronic equipment and computers), investor (a person or company that gives money to a business to help it grow and make a profit later).
