Chinese president visits the US – level 2

Chinese President Xi Jinping visited President Donald Trump in Washington. The two leaders had a big dinner and shared friendly words, but they didn’t solve their main problems. They only agreed to stop new trade tariffs for two months.
China wants the US to stop selling weapons to Taiwan, while the US wants better rules on AI and trade. There were also news problems because some TV reporters were not allowed inside the White House. People also noticed that an official photo of the leaders was edited. The biggest positive moment was when China promised to send two new giant pandas to a zoo in Atlanta. Experts say that even though the visit was friendly, it is still not clear if the two powerful countries can fix their biggest differences in the future.
Difficult words: tariff (a tax on goods imported from another country), edited (changed or corrected), powerful (when you have great authority or control).
