Is the internet dead? – level 1

09-10-2026 07:00

Is the internet dying? Today, many computers and AI tools write texts on the web. More than half of web traffic comes from bots, not real people.

AI tools take words from human writers and make short summaries. Because of this, people do not visit real websites. Real writers lose their jobs and money. When they stop making new texts, AI will start learning from bad AI texts. This will bring more mistakes in news and health tips.

To help, we should check who writes a text, click on real web pages, and help real writers.

Difficult words: traffic (how many people or bots visit a website), bot (a computer program which works alone), summary (a short text which gives you the main idea of a longer text).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

How can checking who writes a text, clicking on real web pages, and supporting real writers help prevent AI from learning from low-quality AI-generated texts and causing more mistakes in news and health tips?
