A swan gets stuck – level 1

01-04-2025 15:00

A swan is flying over a lake. A tree branch is in the way. The swan’s head gets stuck. Its body is in the air, and its neck hurts.

The swan is very scared. It moves its wings fast. It is trying to get out. It makes loud sounds. People near the lake see it and felt very sad. They call for help. The rescue team comes fast. A man holds the swan’s body and breaks the branch. Then, the team takes the swan to a doctor. Its wings and legs are hurt. The animal stays in a warm place.

At first, the swan is afraid, but later it feels better. After two months, it is strong again. The helpers take it to the lake. The swan waits, then flies to the water. Other swans come to it. They are happy to see their friend.

Difficult words: swan (a large white bird which swims on lakes), stuck (not able to move), rescue team (a group of trained people who help other people or animals).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What led to the swan being rescued, and how did its recovery process culminate in being reunited with other swans?
